BHP
Mining and Natural Resources

Est.2017 BHP is the world’s largest mining company and the second-largest publicly listed company in Australia by market capitalization. Following the 2015 demerger of several assets into South32, BHP sought to bring its businesses, heritage, and future vision together under a single, unified brand.

FutureBrand was engaged to evolve the existing identity and create a cohesive brand system centered on one master brand: BHP. The goal was to simplify and unify the company’s growing portfolio while honoring its legacy.

The design system was intentionally kept simple and flexible. A rich family of colors reflects the depth and diversity of mining exploration, while also communicating the breadth of BHP’s expertise, global reach, and operational strength. Together, these elements create a distinctive visual language that is both robust and human, capturing the scale, complexity, and ambition of one of the world’s most influential resource companies.
