A good design is relevant, but a great design is timeless. — Every solution to brand transformation is always made possible by a powerful idea that is without confinement of any other design style’s boundary.
    

As a Creative Director at BARK Brand in New York, I led and managed design teams, working closely with the brand team and sub brands from initial design concept to development and implementation strategy across brand experiences, digital and identity projects.

My early design career was established at Pushpin Studio in 1999 followed by Chermayeff & Geismar under Tom Geismar to craft and work for brand identity and typography, specifically on custom logotypes. Since then I have learned to always push beyond the ordinary to create work that is honest, unique that stands out from the crowd.

I joined Wolff Olins New York as Designer in 2002 and was later promoted to Senior Designer where I developed the total brand revitalization for General Electric and received the prestigious D&AD Graphite Pencil and the NY Art Directors Club 2007 Merit Award for (RED) Global HIV AIDS Brand Awareness. I moved to San Francisco in 2006 and spent several years at Landor, where I designed the brand identity of Samsung Beijing Olympics 2008 and NFL Super Bowl’s visual identity and permanent system that is still being used as of today.

Later on, an opportunity knocked for me to move back to New York to work as Design Director at Siegel+Gale where my team completed a major rebranding and repositioning for Aetna Insurance and Hewlett Packard’s “Make it Matter”.

From 2012 to 2020, I played a key role at FutureBrand New York as an Associate Creative Director in the successful development of projects for a wide range of clients from Reprise Digital, Weber Shandwick, Amazon, US Army National Guard, Disney, GAP Inc., Forever 21, Dunkin, Esselunga to the latest one, Amtrak Company. My work for Riley Rose, Adient, Pitney Bowes and Sentry Insurance were awarded Gold by Transform Awards and a Distinction award by REBRAND 100.

I have also received other awards and recognition from design institutions such as Graphis, AGDA and AIGA 365. My works have been featured in numerous design blogs and publications such as LOGO Book, Laurence King Publishing and Fast Company. Believing that a good designer never stops learning, crafting and evolving, I took the opportunity to mentor as thesis advisor at the San Francisco’s Academy of Art and have been invited to lectures at FIT, Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute, and Indonesia’s ITB School of Art and Design.

In my spare time, I take my wife and son to go hiking and camping each year as a cherished family tradition at the national parks in the country and around the world.
